Calling All Learning Resource Providers

By Theresa Cramer

From the press release:

In order to better gauge educational content providers’ interest in implementing a new system of metadata tagging that will make their products, programs, and resources more accessible and available to users, the LRMI has crafted a survey and is asking for participants. Your input could help shape the LRMI adoption process.

The LRMI, co-led by the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) and Creative Commons and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, aims to improve the search experience for educators and students via the creation and implementation of a standard metadata framework for educational content. The initiative has just moved into the adoption and implementation phase and, with this survey, the AEP will determine publishers’ plans and priorities for applying this set of metadata tags to their own content...

The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and must be submitted by April 20, 2012.
