Recently Released/Updated Social Media Infographics With Plenty of Facts and Stats (Facebook, YouTube, and Others)

From the Wonderful Visual Loop blog that's, "a non-stop stream of links to infographics, maps, charts and many other worldwide visualization designs that make the process of understanding our life a bit easier...or not." Visual Loop aggregates material from a variety of sources and it's compiled by @TSSVeloso.

In recent days three infographics containing social media data became available. They're fact-filled documents that have reference value including webliographies of sources used to build the graphic.

1. The 2010 Social Networking
Map and Other Points of Interest (via Flowtown)

Graphs user stats (with some funny quips) on a map of what appears to be Asia? and nearby areas.

2. Social

Network Size by Registered Users (Interactive) (via Many Eyes)

3. The Business Behind Facebook (via OnlineSchools.org)

From the early days at Harvard to venture capital investments to stats about Facebook games and MUCH more.

4. YouTube's Path to World Domination (via OnlineSchools and RWW)

With trivia (what was the title of the first YouTube Video?** and in what year was it uploaded**) to How much time users spend on the site each day to the Top 10 YouTube Channels.

** Access The First Video (it runs 18 seconds) Uploaded to YouTube

Two Notes:

1) If you have a mobile device, Visual Loop has a version optimized for mobile at:

http://visualoop.tumblr.com/mobile/
It's an entertaining/educational spend a few minutes (when you have them) and review some graphics. Great to share with others internally and/or on your library blog.

2) If you're looking for another superb source for infographics, try the graphics section of VizWorld.
