3. Now on Google Street View: The Homes of the House Energy and Commerce Committee (via techPresident)

From the Article:

The folks from the advocacy group Consumer Watchdog are going after Google for taking "Street View" photos of the homes 19 members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which happens to be the congressional overseers of much of Google's business.

One thing to say about Consumers Watchdog: they know their audience here. There's a pretty good chance that the targeted members of Congress might be freaked out by seeing detailed photos of their homes pasted on the web, courtesy of Google.

Note: Perhaps members will be "freaked out" but we're not so sure. The Washingtonian (the city/region magazine for the National Capital Area) often prints news of a congress member buying or selling real estate with price info, a street location, and sometimes a photo. Here's an example from February (in the VA section. Other times pics and info are included in a feature article. For example, see this article from The Washingtonian (August, 2009) titled "Obamaland." It includes the area of the city/burbs where the property is located along with a picture.
