Nice Job: Mobile Apps and Resources for Legal Professionals and Other Researchers
Kudos and a tip o' the cap to Vicki Steiner from the Hugh and Hazel Darling Law Library at the UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles for compiling this excellent guide to mobile web apps and resources for legal pros that will also be of value to other researchers.
The resources are organized into several sections and even includes a few "apps for fun."
In the productivity collection, we're going to add one entry, Bing Mobile.
The new Bing App for iPhone is excellent. Not only does the app look great but Bing's image search is first-rate, it includes a barcode scanner, and you can access your social net results (if you choose to do that).
Finally, along the left rail, note the direct links to various app sites as well as a link to uquery.com,a search engine (think metasearch) for apps from many smartphones / operating systems. Wonderful.
The FreePint Family is a family of resources to help information workers be more effective, raise the value of information in their organisations and contribute to success.
'FreePint... provides most of my professional development because it won't come through work and [other resources] just don't cut it.'
