New From MapQuest: Look, Features, and Logo

Adena at All Points Blog alerts us to several changes at MapQuest (the number two map/directions site).

Some of the new features include:

+ One-box search for finding directions, maps and businesses. No longer does a user have to enter different parts of the address info into multiple boxes.

Remember, you can also enter a location (building name, stadium, airport code, etc.). International maps and directions are also available for some areas of the world.

+ You can login (to access personalized services like saving maps and directions) using AOL, OpenID, Yahoo, Google, Facebook and Twitter.

+ Ways to plan and personalize travel with notes, anecdotes, landmarks and short cuts.

+ You can send maps and directions to any email address, mobile number (sms) or via Facebook or Twitter by selecting the "Send to Box" (top-left of homepage) Finally, next to the "send to button look for the "link box." in it you'll find a direct link to your map. Highlight, copy, and paste into a "send to" box or anywhere else you like.

and more.

The site is being rolled-out slowly.

However, you can go directly to this URL (http://www.new.mapquest.com) and access the new look, features, and logo.
