Two New Maps: Discover Maryland and Pinellas County, Florida Crime

Adena Schutzberg at The All Points Blog (APB) has detailed descriptions of two new online maps. Actually, there are three maps mentioned and we've already mentioned one of them on ResourceShelf. It's the super cool near real-time London Underground map that automatically updates as the trains move from station to station. You also get estimated times to the next station on the line. Here's our overview and a link directly to the map.

The other two new online maps we read about are:

1) The interactive "Visit Maryland map produced by several Maryland government agencies.

+ Adena's entry about the Maryland map is in the second entry on this page and includes some technical details.

+ The news release includes information about what's planned for future releases of the map.

The map portrays Maryland’s uniquely rich collection of natural, cultural, heritage and recreational resources in a user-friendly searchable format.

2) A New Crime Map from Pinellas County (Tampa Area), Florida: Crime Viewer
+ Adena's Comments (Third Entry)
+ Direct to Crime Viewer

Finally, if you have any interest in maps/mapping, GIS, and related topics, Adena's "All Points Blog" is a must.
