Social Media / Electronic Media Hook-Up: foursquare and C-SPAN Announce Partnership

Yes, even C-SPAN is doing more and more social media and today it's C-SPAN and foursquare getting together to create C-SPAN on foursquare.

The political channels (C-SPAN 1, C-SPAN 2, C-SPAN 3, and C-SPAN Radio) with coverage of the U.S. House, U.S. Senate and many other political events, author talks, protest rallies and more. Quick aside. Have you used the C-SPAN Video Library database? Amazing, numerous ways to search and browse, text transcripts and all of the content is free back to the earliest days of C-SPAN.

From a Blog Post:

Follow C-SPAN on foursquare to receive programming alerts, access tips about landmarks in Washington D.C. and other U.S. cities, and follow the new C-SPAN Digital Bus, which will be checking in on foursquare at locations across the country this summer.

As we post this item, you'll find info and links about the upcoming Supreme Court confirmation hearings, a link to a C-SPAN documentary about the White House, a bit of material about the Washington Monument, and much more.

C-SPAN also offers a Facebook page and Twitter stream.
