On Thursday, Facebook began the day launching a new site/one-stop for showcase how Congress is using the service. It's named: Congress on Facebook. The company has another government-wide compilation of sites named: Facebook and Government. Btw, Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina). is two friends away from hitting the 33,000 fans mark. Other U.S. Senator's who use Facebook are nowhere close to 33,000. In the House of Representatives, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has over 29,000 friends. She also has thousands more Facebook friends than any other Rep.

Meanhile, at HQ in California, Facebook holds an all-hands meeting.
