2) Global Council elected Brian E. C. Schottlaender, The Audrey Geisel University Librarian, University of California, San Diego Libraries, to the OCLC Board of Trustees. Mr. Schottlaender will be seated on the Board in November.
3) Berndt Dugall, Direktor/Librarian, Universität Frankfurt, Universitätsbibliothek Johann Senckenbenberg, Germany, was elected Vice President/President-Elect of the OCLC Global Council. Mr. Dugall will serve as Vice President of Global Council beginning July 1, 2010.
4) Council discussed several documents, including a Statement on Principles of Membership, OCLC Shared Values, and WorldCat Principles of Cooperation. Delegates will continue to review and revise these documents for consideration.
5) Council heard reports from OCLC leadership and staff, and participated in panel discussions on a variety of issues, trends and emerging technologies in libraries.
