U.S. House Passes National Library Week Resolution; Watch the House Floor Discussion Using the C-SPAN Video Library
The other day we posted that U.S. Rep. Vernon Ehlers (MI-3-R) was sponsoring a resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives to "support the goals and ideas of National Library Week."
Visit the recently released C-SPAN video library and watch and listen to comments (no "debate needed") about the Library Week resolution on the House Floor. Once you run your search look for the section marked "transcript results." Click on an image and the video will begin. You can even follow along with a text transcript. The comments being with Rep. Judy Chu and the complete set of comments is contained in three sections dated 4/13/2010.
Prefer text only? No worries. The ALA has placed a copy of the House Floor discussion online (via ALA Washington Office and from the Congressional Record) here. (PDF)
