New Mobile Web Site from Australia: U. of Technology, Sydney
This new mobile site went live today. It features several links including one for library news and another that includes maps, opening hours, facilities, and rules.
The URL is http://www.lib.uts.edu.au/ should automatically detect a mobile browser and place the correct site on the screen.
As of today, access to the library catalogue is available. You can find a search box at the top of every page (in the orange) or on the homepage. Online records from the catalogue include holding info, availability, format, publisher, and year. Five ways to sort results include relevance, title, and publication year. Although we were unable to find and access, text on the welcome page mentions that you can search "subject" databases and check your record with the library. We were also unable to reach the section with PC availability info.
Info about the library is organized into three user groups: Students; Staff; and Community Members.
We do like the fact that at the bottom of each page you can easily and quickly find links that will get you back to other major sections of the site with a single click.
