Two Meta-Reviews: Using Info From First Published iPad Reviews, Material Aggregated Into Single Article/Post

The first reviews of the iPad are online (for about 30 hours). Apple gave the organizations listed below access to the device prior to its launch on Saturday. The reviews are in and its time to take a look at them. What follows is an article to get the key points from each review in seconds and have all the content in single location.

The well-known news and info organizations that were able (selected) to preview and write about the iPad pre-release are:

Newspapers:

+ Chicago Sun Times (Not included in the article)
+ New York Times, David Pogue
+ USA Today, Ed Baig
+ Wall Street Journal, Walt Mossberg

An Outstanding Blog

+ BoingBoing, Xeni Jardin

and PC Magazine, Tom Gideon

Dan Nosowitz at Fast Company read all seven reviews and assembled key facts gleaned from each of them into a single article. Of course, links directly to each original review are included.

Finally, Nosowitz provides a "takeaway" (around a paragraph) from six of the reviews.

Gizmodo also has a meta-review that includes a handy chart. The review includes opinions from Bob "Dr. Mac" LeVitus at the Houston Chronicle. You'll also find direct links to stories from Omar Wasow at The Root and Andy Ihnatko, Chicago Sun-Times.
