Online Databases: The New and Improved Prints and Photographs Online Catalog from Library of Congress

Access the New and Improved Prints and Photographs Online Catalog from LC

Wow and we mean wow! What a difference. If you ever used the old PPOC catalog this is MAJOR improvement.

Just a Few of the Feature

Easily identify and search individual collections, browse by subject, save/share with others using one of many social network, and a new URL.

We're going to make the catalog a Resource of the Week very soon.

The Prints and Photographs Online Catalog has been redesigned and now boasts a new look and powerful new features, such as full-page galleries, savable searches, and easy-to-bookmark pages. Stop by loc.gov/pictures to find new ways to view more than 1 million digitized images from the Library's collections.

Although the catalog is added to on a regular basis, it is not a complete listing of the holdings of the Prints & Photographs Division, which consist of more than 14 million items. Paper finding aids, card catalogs, and browsing files of pictures available on site cover many of the remaining collections.
