The Mobile Sites and Apps Keep Coming: Today, Adelphi University Releases "Library App"
biBLIOGraphy, a blog from the Adelphi University Libraries announced that as of today (Monday), the Adelphi University Libraries mobile "app" at:
m.adelphi.edu (then click the "Library" icon in the second row)
is up and running. The app was developed in house by Stan Bogdanov and the Library Web Committee and is a part of the AU2go campus-wide suite of mobile resources for the Adelphi community.
The library app is accessible with an iPhone, iPod Touch, Palm Pre, or any smart-phone running the Android operating system. No download is required.
Today's release offers several features with more to come. As of today you can:
+ Learn Hours (of all Library branches)
+ Librarians (contact information for every librarian, arranged by subject specialty)
+ Service Areas (contacts for the different Library Service Areas)
+ Streaming Audio (a free service, offered by our NAXOS music database)
+ Floor Maps (resizable images of the Library floor maps)
+ Blog (a mobile version of our blog - biBLiOGraphy)
In future releases the app will provide access to the library catalog, Alicat along with journal databases, reference management tools, etc.
