The Laboratorium Blog Offers Outstanding Coverage of Google Book Search Fairness Hearing
Once again The Laboratorium blog from Professor James Grimmelmann from the New York Law School, (with the assistance of some of his students) have put together the "GBS: Fairness Hearing Report." It's an in-depth look at exactly what took place in Judge Chin's courtroom during the Google Book Search (GBS) fairness hearing on Thursday (2/18/10) in New York City and it's outstanding work.
Grimmelmann and several students were in the courtroom (or the overflow room) to witness the proceedings in person.
The majority of the post provides a summary of what each speaker had to say and any response, feedback, or question Judge Chin had.
You'll also read some opinion by Professor Grimmelmann on topics like the quality of the presentation, speaker, legal issues, etc.
UPDATE (2/21): Part II of the report has now been posted.
