The Link: The Official Newsletter of ipl2 is Now Available

The merger of the Librarians' Index to the Internet and the Internet Public Library appears to be complete. Now, the first issue of The Link: The Official Newsletter of ipl2 is online.

You can access the newsletter at:
http://theipl.wordpress.com/the-link/

The first issue provides some background about the ipl2 including:

The ipl2 is managed jointly by Drexel University and Florida State University. Additionally, site and services maintenance are provided by members of the ipl2 Consortium.

You'll also find an invite to try their 24/7 homework helper/question answering service, the new "Kids Space" directory (very impressive), a "just for kids" question request form, and a group of links to help get your 2010 resolutions off to a good start. You'll also find links to info pages for a few events that take place in January.

Kudos and congrats to all those involved with ipl2. We're looking forward to one wonderful, timely, and well organized directory. So far we really like what we see.

    Tuesday, 19th August 2014

Organisations face growing legal and reputational risks associated with doing business. These risks have become even more significant because of mounting pressure from regulators and an increase in business carried out in higher risk jurisdictions. Increasingly complex business regulations such as the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act ensure that companies thoroughly examine third-party relationships to tackle the risk of money laundering, bribery and corruption and sanctions regimes. Mark Dunn looks at what the law says regarding Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Bribery & Corruption, and how organisations can mitigate the risk of becoming involved in corruption through third parties (e.g. agents, suppliers) by implementing a simplified or Enhanced Due Diligence process.
