The librarians at the Welch Medical Library at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore have compiled a very comprehensive list of mobile resources for those who work or are affiliated with the health sciences. Really excellent work.
Each entry is clearly marked to let you know if the item is free; for purchase; a demo (for Hopkins only); or licensed for Hopkins users. Entries are also marked (where necessary) with the format(s) that the program is available for. An example, It could read: (BlackBerry, iPhone, Palm, Windows Mobile/PocketPC).
The Compilation is Organized into Several Categories:
+ Collections
+ Databases
+ Drug Guides
+ General Resources
+ Medical Calculators & Tools
+ Medical/Science News
+ Patient Information
+ Specialty
+ Texts & Journals
While most of these resources are for people who work in the health sciences, some might also be of use to patients and their families.
