Dow Jones Releases New Features, Enhancements to MarketWatch

Sorry, we missed this one a few weeks ago. Better late than never. (-:

From the Announcement:

Overall enhancements include new design and navigation, expanded content and features and better surfacing of the site's leading personalities and columns. Users who interact with the site beyond the home page will now have two original new tools go with them -- the "Terminal Header" at the top of every page, and the "Dock," a tool bar that floats at the fold of every page on every computer. These tools give on demand quotes, news and customized data and charting wherever the user is on the site.

In addition to the Terminal Header and the Dock, other elements of the redesign include:

+ Streaming Real-Time Updates: Breaking news and analysis and market data are pushed directly to the browser similar to professional trading terminals;

+ Enhanced Market Charts: The Dow Jones Industrial Average and other major indexes, completely redesigned with a new look and streaming real-time data, including an expandable markets chart on the home page;

+ NewsViewer: An interactive tool for following breaking news, sortable by subject and type of news, and viewing summaries with a real-time headline crawl. The headlines include real-time quotes of the companies involved;

+ International: More coverage and detail on emerging markets and the key markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
