As I said yesterday, Danny Sullivan and I had the chance to speak with Steven Wolfram this week. The demo of his Wolfram|Alpha "knowledge engine was, in a word, amazing.
As I also hinted at yesterday, this tool will become a quick friend of the information professional as it makes the Internet or, better said, the deep/invisible web much more useful. We're talking answers here, not 10 blue links! Wolfram|Alpha is a game changer when it comes to ready reference. Btw, I agree with Danny, it's not a Google killer. It's a new and very useful tool to add to our search tool belt. However, Google and other general-purpose search engines are still needed.
