ProQuest and Gannett Newspapers Announce Exclusive Deal

From an Announcement:

ProQuest has signed a long-term agreement to be the exclusive provider of 85 full-text newspaper titles from the world-leading news and information provider Gannett Company, Inc.-- An additional 7 U.S. military newspapers will be available from ProQuest to libraries and educational institutions worldwide on a non-exclusive basis. These titles will be made available through ProQuest Newsstand, ProQuest Archiver(tm), and ProQuest's Newspapers in Microfilm, and as an add-on package to ProQuest Central. Six of the largest Gannett titles are also slated to be produced as ProQuest Historical Newspapers.

Through this partnership, ProQuest will also offer access to the leading U.S. military newspapers. These newspapers are relied upon by active duty, reserve and retired military personnel, and defense decision-makers for extensive breaking news coverage. Access to these titles will enable researchers to retrieve information regarding issues of importance to the military, and compare reporting in military newspapers with civilian papers. ProQuest will offer current and historical news and information from the Air Force Times, Armed Forces Journal, Army Times, Defense News , Marine Corps Times, Military City, and Navy Times.
