Special Logos and Resources for Rememberance Day (Australia, Canada, UK) and Veteran's Day (U.S.)

Here's a review of some of the special logos and links e spotted on Sunday.

Ask.com
++ Ask.co.uk**
A message on the home page (reminding readers to wear a poppy flower) includes a direct link to the "Rememberance Day" Ask.co.uk "Smart Answer." Here's a screen cap of the UK.Ask.com home page.

++ Ask.com
A search for Veterans Day on Ask.com includes a Smart Answer with video, a list of other U.S. Federal Holidays, and more.

Dogpile.com
A special logo (screen cap) with the Dogpile dog holding an American flag and logos of the U.S. military surrounding the the dog. Also, some text that salutes U.S. vets. Clicking the logo runs a search for Veterans Day eCards.

Google
++ Google.com has a special logo with a drawing military helmets and a direct link for the search Veterans Day.

We were unable to find any special logos on the Google Australia, Google Canada, and Google UK for Rememberance Day.

Yahoo
Yahoo UK & Ireland has a special logo with a poppy flower next to the Yahoo logo. Clicking the logo takes the searcher to a page for the Poppy Appeal charity in the United Kingdom. Btw, why a poppy (via BBC).

We didn't spot any other reminders on Yahoo Australia/NZ,Yahoo Canada, or Yahoo.com.

Perhaps additional logos will be online tomorrow, when Veterans Day is officially celebrated in the U.S.
