X Marks the Spot: A New Products Showcase, PayPal Labs & Don't Forget about the eBay Labs

Here's a new online lab (new to the RS team at least) that shows off what new ideas they're working on at Paypal.

PayPal Labs, a new showcase site for some of PayPal's new experimental products, has launched at www.x.com. The first two products featured are PayPal's Facebook application to request money and a new fundraising tool for non-profits launched on MySpace.

Thanks to P.W. for the tip.

On a related note, PayPal, which is a part of eBay also has a labs site, eBay Innovation.
"...place to show off some of the fun projects and experiments we're working on and to share insights into innovation we see across the Internet."

More Labs?
See Also: The new video face search demo on Reuters Labs is also worth a look.

See Also: The X.com domain name.
In case you're wondering:
The X.com domain has listed PayPal as its administrative contact since at least 2001 and likely prior to that. Technically, the domain was registered to the "X Corporation" (with PayPal as admin contact) until the domain owner info was changed to PayPal on May 3, 2006.
