Briefs: Google Announces Q2 Earnings; Ask.com Plans to Release AskEraser for Increased Online Privacy Control; Microsoft Live: Mobile Search App V2 released

+ Google Announces Q2 Earnings

+ Ask.com* Announces AskEraser for More Control of Your Online Privacy
Gary is Director of Online Information Resources at Ask.com

+ Microsoft Live: Mobile Search App V2 released - Improved Navigation, Cache, Movie Searching, GPS, Traffic reporting and more! (via VE Blog)

+ Minor Google News Item of the Day
It's always interesting to see how products are described.

Until recently, here's a screen cap, the Google Products Page described:

+ Google Earth as, "Explore the world from your PC."

and

+ Sketch-Up as, "Create 3-D Models for Google Earth."

In the past couple of days these descriptions have changed as you can see here.

+ The Google Earth description now reads, "Explore the world from your computer."
Remember, Google Earth for the Mac (launched in early 2006) and Linux (released mid-2006) have been around for a while. So, we're sure Mac and Linux users will be happy to be recognized with this small change.

+ The description for SketchUp now reads, "Build 3D models quickly and easily." In other words the Google Earth angle has been removed from the description.

+ Updated Beta Release of AOL Local
Bug fixes and faster load times.
