Briefs #2: Dynamic Search Suggestions Now at Yahoo.com But Not at Search.Yahoo; Google Ad Issues in Australia

+ Dynamic Search Suggestions (as You Type) Now at Yahoo (via Yahoo Search Blog)
This is now part of the engine. Web search only. It's been available with the Yahoo Toolbar and also at AllTheWeb since last May. On ATW the service is called Livesearch.

Other engines that offer this feature include:
+ Snap.com
+ Ask.com
Works with BOTH Web and Image search.
+++ To turn off this feature at Yahoo, select More>>Disable Search Suggestions
+++ To turn off this feature at Snap, select Settings
+++ To turn off this feature at Ask, select Options>>Displaying Results

Of course, let's not forget LookAhead from SurfWax. They've been developing and licensing this type of software for years. They also offer a slew of cool tools including WikiWax, Shop Easier, and the new IMDB name search to name just a few.
