Special 4th of July/Independence Day Logos from Yahoo, Google, Exalead, Dogpile, and Ask.com
Our 4th of July (Independence Day) post is in two parts this year.
First, this post contains screen caps of several special logos found on the home pages of several web engines.
Second, directly below this post, you'll find links to several specialty databases and "fast fact" resources about the day.
Today, special holiday home page logos (we've created screen caps of each page) from:
+ Yahoo
Some animation. Clicking the upper left corner moves from some animated fireworks, to reading Happy 4th of July, to concluding with an image of the crown and torch as seen at the top of the Statue of Liberty. Here's a brief Flash Video. Clicking the logo takes the searcher to a 4th of July/Summer 2007 guide.
+ Google
The second G in Google has been replaced today with a drawing of a Bald Eagle. Clicking the logo runs a search for 4th of July.
+ Dogpile
Some picnicking, barbecue and some fireworks. Clicking the logo runs a search for BBQ.
+ Ask.com (An image of the U.S. flag) is the background image on the Ask home page. A search for 4th of July also returns an Ask Smart Answer with direct links to crafts, recipes, facts and figures, games, etc.
