In Partnership with go2, MasterCard Offering New Mobile Info Service (ATM Locations, Merchants Special Offers, etc.)

Place this one in your private label category.

Payment News reports that MasterCard card holders will soon have access to MasterCard Nearby. It will provide ATM locations, merchant locations, driving directions and more. Register at:
MCNearby.com or or by calling (877) 877-NEAR.

Is MasterCard partnering with another company to offer this service?
Yes. It's being developed in partnership with go2. MasterCard Nearby users will be able to access the information they deem vital; that information can then be viewed on the mobile Internet or delivered to their mobile phones via an SMS text message. Ongoing access is then available directly on the phone. Once consumers log into the WAP (mobile web) site at wap.mcnearby.com for the first time, they are permanently logged into the service.

We recently posted about a few databases with details about where ATM's can be found around the world. Some, even with maps. Two of the four databases we listed are powered by Visa and MasterCard, all with info about where ATM's on major global networks (Cirrus, Plus, Star) can be found. We also mentioned an interactive voice response service from MasterCard at 1-877-Find-ATM. These services are available to any users.
