More Services (Free and Fee) for Offline Remote Storage: S3 Backup & BigSafeBox.com

Offline remote storage services continue to proliferate. We're big fans (and users) of MediaMax around ResourceShelf since its days when it was known as Streamload. We also have been impressed with Mozy.com.

Here are two mores service, both using Amazon technology and storage facilities. In situations like this, it's best to have knowledge of a wide variety of choices and choose the one that one that meets all of your needs. Two new ones we're mentioning on RS for the first time:

+ BigSafeBox.com
Free trial, automatic back-ups over the Internet as you do you work. Client download required.

+ S3Backup
Required download client (coming soon for Mac and Linux, now in private beta). Price based on how much you store. Requires an Amazon Web Services log-in. Easy to get and free. Cost?
+ $0.15 per GB-Month of storage used
+ $0.20 per GB of data transferred
