AOL Posts Top Searches For 2006

AOL Posts Top Searches of 2006

Yahoo was first out of the box with their top searches rankings (in various categories) for 2006 last week. Btw, this is the first year that AOL has included several video search categories in their year-end review including Top 10 Viral Videos in the Entertainment section.

The compilation includes:

+ Top 10 Searches Overall (#1 Weather, #2 Dictionary, #3 Dogs)

+ Top 10 Video Searches (#1 iPod, #2 50 Cents, #3 BMW)

+ Top 10 People Searches (#1 Paris Hilton, #2 Chris Brown, #3 Oprah Winfrey)

Other Categories include:
+ Top Show Hosts (#1 Oprah Winfrey)
+ Top Politicians (#1 George Bush)
+ Top Celebrity Couples (#1 Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt)
+ Top News Topics (#1 Gas Prices)
+ Top Movies (#1 Pirates of the Caribbean)
+ Top Video (#1 American Idol)
+ Top Video Viral (#1 Chicken Soup)
