Reed Business Information Launches New Global B2B Search Engine: Zibb.com

Reed Business Information Launches New Global B2B Search Engine: Zibb.com
Those interesting names for search engines keep coming. :-) This is a new service (Beta) from a new division at Reed Business Information named RB Search that might be of interest to some of you. Reed's RB Search is being led by CEO Stephen Baker, who some of you might know from his days at AllTheWeb and Yahoo/Overture.

Fast Facts:
+ Search box shows 5 tabs (types of searches)
1) All
+ Filter Results by industry on some results pages
2) News
Trade press.
3) Products
Here, result pages are organized by category. Click a category and see company names. Narrow by country. Results come from the KellySearch business directory database, another Reed Business Info product. Select company name to get basic directory info, contact info, etc. You might also find links to digitized (full image) product catalogs.
4) Suppliers
Using KellySearch database.
5) Web and Blogs
Again, ability to narrow.

+ Result pages include links to Google Ads. Users can send comments or submit URLS.

With Reed and Baker behind Zibb.com, this is a new service that is at the least worth knowing about, perhaps spending some time with, and monitoring for improvements and new features. Some advanced searching (limiting to city, state, country, etc.) would be useful particularly with the KellySearch content.
