Lists and Rankings: Yahoo's Top Searches of 2006
It's that time of year again when the search engines begin publishing their list of top search terms for the year. Yahoo is first out of the box this year with its lists.

You can begin with a video review OR go straight to the lists. An interactive version of the lists can be accessed here.

Yahoo's Top Searches of 2006 consists of 11 lists. You'll also find links to "Top Searches" for five countries.

+ Top 10 Overall Searches (#1, Britney Spears)
+ Top 10 Celebrity Searches (#1, Britney Spears)
Note: This is the fifth out the last six years that Ms. Spears has topped the Yahoo list in this category. More in this blog post.

+ Top 10 Sports Team Searches (#1, New York Yankees)
+ Top 10 Song Lyric Searches (#1, Hips Don't Lie)
