Dynamically Search Wikipedia With Improved WikiWax; Also Dynamic Search EDGAR Filings and Some US Patents Also Available

We've pointed out many times that the LookAhead technology from Surfwax can be very useful for many types of searches, especially with smaller, more focused databases. LookAhead allows you to eyeball potential results as you type. In other words, a box appears and possible results begin appearing in a dynamic fashion. Several older posts on this topic are linked at the bottom of this one.

WikiWax, one of these tools that offers dynamic searching of the Wikipedia, has just been upgraded and several new tools from Surfwax, providers of LookAhead, are now online. Let's review:

+ WikiWax
* Dynamic searching of the Wikipedia.
* New underlying technology and now available in several languages.
* WikiWax first debuted in March 2005.

Also, new from LookAhead:

+ RELEASED TODAY
LookAhead NCBI Entrez Cross-Database Search
A myriad of health, medical, and related life science databases using LookAhead. Very cool!

+ LookAhead for EDGAR Documents (2004-2006)
Try entering a company name, ticker symbol or even a personal name. Uses the SEC EDGAR database.

+ US Patents by Title
Searches about 1.7 million patents from 1990-2006. NOTE: Good idea to read the "tips" located near the top of the page.
