More New Google Domain Registrations

Google registered the following domains yesterday.

+ Google-afd.com (also .net, .info)
+ google-afyd.com (also .net, .info)
+ googleafd.com (also .net, .info)
+ googleafyd.com (also .net, .info)

Wondering if they have anything to do with a news product (with Associated Press)? They registered other related sounding domains a couple of weeks ago. This post has the list. All of this is speculation. No one really knows except some Googlers and those they might be doing business with. Btw, AFD is close to AFP another news agency (Agence France Press) that, btw, is involved in a lawsuit with Google.

UPDATE: One of the great Google bloggers, Garett Rogers, disagrees with our analysis. When Garett talks and writes we listen and read. You should too! So, after reading his post, here's what these new domains are likely about.

I am almost certain this domain is referring to a service known as "AdSense for Domains". It has been around for a long time, but has gone without much attention since its launch. Is it getting ready for prime-time?
