Time to Take a Look at MediaMax: Remotely Store Up to 100GB of Content for Just a Few $

MediaMax
Note from Gary: I've been what MediaMax calls a "freeloader" for a long time with great success and have mentioned it on ResourceShelf several times. It's been good to know that if something happens to my computer, my files are backed up offsite. Well, after a recent incident (with another computer where I don't have the service, no comment) I think it's time for me to take a look at one of the MediaMax fee-based services. Most affordable is the "Premium" service for $4.95/month that allows you to store 100GB of content and download/share up to 10GB. Not bad at all. This page lists all of the MediaMax pricing plans. If nothing else, it's worth getting your feet wet with the free service. Btw, MediaMax allows users to mail/host files of any size. More later after taking it for a spin. Oops, almost forgot. I've used a batch upload service before and now will also be testing the new MediaMax XL Beta Software backup and sync app.

"The new free 5 GB storage offering will be available to any users with an AOL or AIM screenname starting in early September." Wonder what kind of reception this will get after the accidental release of search terms to the public. The service will be run by XDRIVE.
